About Us

The Age of Sail is set on the site of a mid 19th century shipyard. Consisting of 7 display buildings, a cafe and gift shop and a short walkway on a tidal river we bring to life the history of the Parrsborough Shore particularly the lumbering and shipbuilding history. Our buildings range from a 1854 converted church. 1908 lighthouse to a new purpose built building shaped like a ships haul.

With over 4000 artifacts in our hands on exhibits, Genealogical data base and books and our archives we offer an interesting deep look into our history.
